You cannot legally get alcohol until you are resident. You may bring 4 bottles of wine into the country when you arrive. After you gain residency, you then will need a salary statement from the company, which you will need if you are legally to access the distribution centres which sell alcohol.

You may drink alcohol in hotels and hotel bars. Most of the big western hotels such as the Sheraton, Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Rotana, and Hilton etc have bars and clubs. Some smaller hotels are dry. You cannot purchase or drink alcohol during Ramadan
