School review PDF Print

Cognition Education is able to support government agencies and school leaders to review systems, processes and practices. We support our clients to examine systems and processes they have in place and the outcomes they are achieving. Reviews can ensure that local community aspirations and values are reflected in the curriculum and that student achievement remains the highest priority. Through regular, planned review school leaders and boards of trustees can monitor progress, ensure consistency and build internal capacity.

Curriculum review
Cognition Education supports schools to review their curriculum plans and programmes. The reviews can be school wide or focussed on a year group.
The outcome of the review is twofold. The school has reliable information on which to plan future directions as well as having a model to undertake future reviews. This capacity building is central to the way we work.

Systems review
Cognition works with schools to review management systems and processes to ensure they are aligned with the vision and goals. We undertake a comprehensive needs analysis with the school to help determine priorities and future strategic directions.

Community consultation
With Cognition’s support, schools can undertake community consultation by engaging the community in meaningful discussions about future directions to ensure successful outcomes for students.
