Stewart Germann - ChairMAN

BCom, LLB, FCIS, ANZIM, Notary Public
Notary Public Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court, Stewart is the principal of Stewart Germann Law Office, which specialises in franchising, licensing and small to medium business in New Zealand and overseas. Stewart has served as director and chairman of Multi Serve since its formation in 1989.

HOWARD FANCY

Howard Fancy was Secretary for Education from July 1996 to October 2006. In those 10 years he led and oversaw major reforms in all parts of the education system, including a substantial reorientation of the Ministry of Education. He has also filled various senior positions in the public sector. Currently Howard is the Director of Motu Economic and Public Policy Research, holds a number of governance positions and undertakes a range of consultancy projects.

Keith Goodall

CA, CMA, FCIS
Keith is a chartered accountant with his own consultancy and a director of several private companies. He is an author and has presented several national continuing education courses for the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has served as a Multi Serve director since 1989.

Professor John Hattie

ONZM, BA, DipEd, MA(Hons) (Otago), PGDipArts (Otago), PhD (Tor)
John is currently Professor of Education at the University of Auckland and one of New Zealand's most internationally acclaimed academics.  He has been both Professor and Chair of Educational Research Methodology at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. He has also held senior positions at the University of Western Australia in Perth, the University of Hong Kong and the University of Washington in Seattle.

Christopher Morton

BE(civil), PMD Grad, School of Business, Harvard
Christopher has a wide range of commercial experience, including 15 years in the construction industry in New Zealand and the Pacific, and 12 years in the property industry in investment and development in New Zealand. He has been a Multi Serve director since 1990.

Mike Taitoko

Mike has a MBA (with distinction) and is an Executive Director of Tuia Group which specialises in economic and commercial development, particularly in the Maori sector. As well as working with private organisations, Mike advises various government departments on programme design and performance and has advised Pacific governments on their foreign investment and trade programmes. Mike has been an active school board member for 15 years and has participated in a range of initiatives to improve education outcomes for students. He is also currently a director of Industrial Research Limited.

Jo Clayton

Jo is a Director of Acumen International where she advises and facilitates strategic processes with client companies. Jo helps clients ensure capability and capacity issues, and structure and resource requirements, are addressed. She helps ensure that mechanisms are in place for execution and that management are implementing plans and meeting the board monitoring requirements. Jo also works with a number of boards where she provides advice on Board effectiveness as well as one on one and team coaching for their management teams.
Jo also works with the Icehouse at the University of Auckland Business School and is an associate of The Boardroom Practice Ltd. She has held a number of governance roles in the tertiary education
