Cognition would like to acknowledge and congratulate the New Zealand educators who were recognised in the 2012 New Years honours list. This country has a world class education system and the accomplishments of those who were awarded honours reflect well on an education system that consistently produces quality outcomes for students. The individuals who have won these awards have contributed to New Zealand education in a variety of ways, and often, over many decades. We are fortunate to have educators including policy makers, researchers, teachers and school leaders of this calibre.
